At approximately 445pm a major rock slide fell across HWY 52 in the Yeadon Community in Breathitt County. The slide completely closed both lanes of traffic. Noone was injured in the rock slide. Crews from the District 10 of the Transportation Department located in Jackson are working feverishly to remove debris their equipment can remove before bringing in a machine to start busting up the boulders, some as big as dump trunks.
Motorists are encouraged to bypass the area until the slide can be removed. Their is no timetable for removal. APPCV will have more on this as it develops.
