Morehead, KY. (October 24, 2020) –Troopers with the Kentucky State Police, Post 8, Morehead conducted a traffic stop in Morgan County. Troopers located an illegal drug in the vehicle. The operator of the vehicle, Christine Hall, 33 years of age, of Morehead was arrested for Trafficking Methamphetamine. Ms. Hall is lodged in the Rowan County Detention Center.
As a result of the arrest of Ms. Hall, Troopers and Detectives were able to obtain a search warrant on a residence in Rowan County occupied by Cecil Ousley, 68 years of age, of Morehead. During the execution of the search warrant, several illegal items were located in the residence. The items included over 85 grams of suspected Methamphetamine, over 32 grams of Marijuana, numerous unidentified pills, a handgun, drug trafficking paraphernalia, a Pontiac GTO and a large undetermined amount of U.S. Currency was seized. Mr. Ousley was arrested and charged with the following: Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (>2 grams Methamphetamine) (Enhanced), Trafficking in Marijuana (Less Than 8 Oz) (Enhanced), Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Mr. Ousley is lodged in the Rowan County Detention Center. . In addition to the charges Ms. Hall received during the traffic stop, she was also charged with the following charges: Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense (>2 grams Methamphetamine) (Enhanced), Trafficking in Marijuana (Less Than 8 Oz) (Enhanced) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. This incident remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police, Post 8, Morehead.
