West Liberty, KY. (October 23, 2020) –On October 22, 2020, Kentucky State Police, Post 8, Morehead received a call of a domestic violence dispute in Morgan County. Through the investigation, it was determined that a physical altercation had occurred between Randy Haney, 41 years of age, of West Liberty and Deloris Haney, of West Liberty. During the altercation, a juvenile retreived a firearm and fired the weapon striking Mr. Haney. Mr. Haney was transported to Appalacian Regional Healthcare in West Liberty by Morgan County EMS to be treated for life threatening injuries. Mr. Haney was pronounced deceased by Morgan County Coroner Raymond Vancleave. Kentucky State Police was assisted by Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, Morgan County EMS and West Liberty Police Department. This incident remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police, Post 8, Morehead.
