Campton, KY. (October 8, 2020) –Kentucky State Police, Post 8, Morehead received a call for assistance from the Wolfe County Dispatch of a two vehicle collision. After further investigation, it was determined Charles Hoagland, 21 years of age, of Scottsburg, Indiana was traveling north on KY 715 in a 2007 Ford Mustang. Mr. Hoagland crossed the centerline striking a Dodge Ram 3500 pickup operated by Matthew Dobbs, 35 years of age, of Winchester, KY. Mr. Hoagland was pronounced deceased at the scene by Wolfe County Coroner Frankie Porter. Mr. Dobbs was transported by private vehicle to a local hospital to be examined for injuries. Kentucky State Police was assisted by the Wolfe County Sheriff’s Department, Wolfe County Coroner’s Office, Wolfe County Fire and Rescue and Wolfe County EMS. This collision remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police, Post 8, Morehead.
