Temporary diversion will be used while construction is ongoing
JACKSON, Ky. – Work is scheduled to begin Monday, Aug. 17, to replace a bridge on KY 1182 (Cobhill Road) in Estill County as part of the Bridging Kentucky program. The bridge crosses Furnace Fork and is located approximately 0.1 miles from KY 52.
During construction, traffic will be maintained via a temporary crossing. Drivers may experience delays during the project. Fewer than 200 vehicles use this bridge each day. This bridge has a sufficiency rating of 60.2, and is classified as structurally deficient.
The new bridge is scheduled to open by Oct. 26.
