London, Ky. (July 04, 2019) – On Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at approximately 7:30 PM, Kentucky State Police Post 11, London received a call from the Whitley County 911 about a shooting that had taken place at a residence on KY HWY 1064 in the Woodbine community of Whitley County.
Troopers arrived on scene and located Vicki S. Conner, 57, of Corbin deceased of an apparent gunshot wound. Conner was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Whitley County Coroner’s Office.
Upon further investigation, an arrest warrant, for murder was issued for Nicholas M. Rucker, 38, of Corbin the boyfriend of the victim.
On Thursday, July 04, 2019 at approximately 12:30 AM, the Knox County Sheriff’s Office received information about the whereabouts of Nicholas M. Rucker at a residence on Meadow Lark Circle in the Corbin community of Knox County.
Deputies arrived and observed Rucker flee from the residence on foot, after a short foot pursuit deputies arrested Rucker and lodged him in the Knox County Detention Center.
